Bryan grew up in Philadelphia and later earned his M.A. in Theology from Talbot School of Theology in Southern California. While Bryan has overseen the development of many thriving ministries across the country, he’s most sought after for his keen understanding of racial tensions and multi-ethnicity within the context of the church. Most recently Bryan has served as the Lead Pastor of Fellowship Memphis and the Director of Kainos, a movement equipping churches and Christian leaders to diversify their ministry. In 2014, Bryan spoke in New York City for our Center for City Renewal organization on the topic of racial reconciliation. As Bryan and his wife Korie were already sensing God revealing He would be moving them on from their ministry in Memphis, they began to feel a pull toward New York City. Our pastoral team directed our more general prayers and fasting for diversity to prayer specifically about the Loritts family joining us in New York. Over the course of several weeks of seeking God’s guidance we are confident Bryan is meant to join our pastoral staff to lead the charge in moving our church family into greater cultural diversity. This summer Bryan will join our central staff as Pastor of Preaching and Mission where he will be available to preach periodically for all of our parishes while he develops leaders who can move us into greater cultural diversity in the years ahead.
We are genuinely humbled by the caliber of these two men God has called to join our team. They are highly gifted leaders with a passion for Jesus and seeing His Kingdom advance in New York City and beyond. That they also have the backgrounds necessary to help us grow into great diversity is truly evidence of God’s grace.
We are grateful to see Him moving so evidently and answering our prayers in this regard. We are thrilled to welcome Robert, Bryan and their families to the Trinity Grace Church family and look forward to experiencing the fruit of their involvement in our church.
